Thats what they should be thinking about (Burnes) snell is another back loaded  bad contract that we dont need. We already have Eflin which we had to do.

Burnes? NAH … Burnes is a durable bull dog type. I think he’s worth the risk if you are ever going to on a pitcher. For us Snell is a 2 month rental as he’s not exercising his option. He signed this deal early this season so I’m not sure how you get it’s backloaded. He had a signing bonus so really it was just a 2 year at $32

This is nothing more than you speculating based off of some used tea leaves you found while rooting around in the dumpster.

Dumpster?  Because I disagree with your opinion and have my own. That’s Facebook political level discussion stuff. You’re better than that.

Please have your own opinion. Disagree. But no insults.

Everyone should be allowed to have their own opinion, but I'd like to point out you are making statements as if they are true. As if you are in the locker room and you are telling us what is going on. You aren't saying "I think" or "I believe", you are saying these things are actually happening.

It would be a little redundant if everything I say I put “I believe” or “I feel” in front of. Obviously, they are just my thoughts and feelings. I’m not Mike Elias, Brandon Hyde, or anyone on the team.

I gotta eggshell around every opinion?

Also, this whole “transition” opinion isn’t some hot take by me. If you read the people that cover the team on Twitter and listen to the people that cover the team on 105.7, that is what they are mostly saying.  So that’s just not my hot take.

Do we need to go back to the signature days and I have mine as…

“Any opinion expressed by sportsfan is solely sportsfan’s opinion, and does not reflect the opinion of the orioles in any way”

Is that really needed every single post? If so, them eggshells are awfully fragile.

I wonder if the lack of Elias interview post-Hays and Eflin trades bodes well for "not being done". Normally he gives his soundbites after moves like this, but maybe he's going to lump it all together after the deadline.

Feel like he's been quieter than usual overall this year.

After the way the fan base held his feet to the fire for his “lift off” quote at the last deadline I probably wouldn’t want to make any comments I wasn’t required to either.

Would love Snell. Push Suarez to the pen, and hope he solves some of our issues there. In a playoff series, Kremer goes to the pen as well, and Eflin can be on standby for long relief if needed.

Not sure how a guy like Kremer would translate to the pen. And depending how he looks down the stretch, I probably would feel better having Eflin slotted ahead of Grayson in the postseason based on his experience. Either way, they’d be a fearsome four going into any series

No, you taking one out of context quote and blowing it up into "hYdE's LoSt ThE lOcKeR rOoM" is what is Facebook-tier here.

I think we need to trade Mountcastle, and then make a big trade a pitcher. An elite closer and/or a legit starter. Mountcastle putting up his usual 2 WAR season at 1B isn't enough, and he's ultimately replaceable. Trade him while the market is hot. If O'Hearn and whoever else can cover 1B, it gives us so much more lineup and roster flexibility. Mayo and Kjerstad can be in the lineup mostly everyday.

    • In the beginning of the year the team had the best hitting team in baseball but were never walking and near the bottom.  There was lots of complaining about how they don’t walk enough to be a better lineup.  The second half of the year they are near the top of the league in walks and there hitting has fallen off.  You would think with more walks and taking pitches they would be hitting better.  Are they walking to much and not being aggressive like they were earlier in the year?
    • I agree with all that you wrote, I was just surprised so few teams go past 45K.
    • The capacity situation is affected by 3 trends, I believes:    -- newer stadiums being built tend to have fewer have fewer seats (and OPACY is now one of the 10 oldest ballparks in the major leagues)    -- stadiummodifications usually result in capacity going down:   for bigger playing field (like Baltimore), or for more club/luxury seating or entertainment areas replacing denser regular seating areas)    -- some teams just deciding never to sell some seats so I guess they no longer count in capacity (like that entire top deck in the outfield in Oakland).   I mean, I'm sure they could FIT way more than 25K humans comfortably in the Trop, they obviously have some seating areas they just bother to print tickets for and sell because they know they'll never sell them, so I guess that doesn't count in capacity.   Now at Oriole Park they only sell the LF upper deck seats these days when a big crowd is expected... but those seats still count towards capacity even in games where they choose not to make them available.
    • As if more AB's for Jimenez would help
    • It wasn't an impressive list before Elias traded some away.
    • Hanser most recently played in the Dominican Winter League last January, and in the majors last year.   He probably can still swing a bat. Pick him up to play 1B/DH vs lefties, ditch Eloy.   I don't think we'd being no hit into the 9th inning with him in the lineup. Come on Elias, you should still have his agent in your contact list.
