I remember when Astros signed him there were a bunch of posters complaining about us to going after him and signing him because of a cheap owner.  I guess being cheap can work out.  He aged about as bad as Davis did.

He was about as old at the start of his contract as Davis would have been at the end of his.  And $102 mm cheaper.
