O's acquire LHP Trevor Rogers from Marlins

Seems like a lot for a 1.5 WHIP , near 5 ERA, and FIP that is close to the same.

That seems pretty expensive to me, but the O's use of Norby and especially Stowers suggests that the O's didn't value either player a lot. Shrug.

Yeah they must see something they like with him, because at first glance Rogers reminds me of Irvin.

Interesting project but not a 2024 difference-maker unless the pitching brain trust sees something easily fixable.  Doubtful.  Don't care much about the price, although it was certainly no bargain.

I wonder if they would consider using him in the bullpen come playoff time. If he can see an uptick in velocity in the 'pen, could be an interesting arm.

I’m fine with losing Stowers actually. He’s already 26 and hasn’t really done enough for me to stand out and be on the major league team. Norby hurts a bit more but maybe Mayo or Holliday come up soon instead.
