How does one tell from all the way in the media booth that someone looks "ill" versus "emotionally distraught because the rest of this season and next are in peril"?

I think the Orioles seem to have a long history of under performing against struggling pitchers. I cant prove it, but it sure feels that way.

Players aren't typically accessible to the media during the games.   Except in those wired up things that are pre-planned.   The media isn't in the clubhouse during the game.   Sure, they COULD make some accomodations for MASN, and send some info to the booth.   But it's very possible that they don't have any real info yet, just suspicions.

Bassitt has a league average ERA. Not like he has been horrible this year.
