Any Coulombe updates

I looked through the last week of threads and didn't see anything about Coulombe.  How is his rehab going?

I heard on the one of the game broadcasts that he’s still on schedule for an early September return.

Sounds good would really be nice to have a semi shutdown 3 of Kimbrel, SD and Coulombe.

We could definitely use some positivity from an injury standpoint. Sounds like Graysons lat issue is far less severe than in 2022. Would be a hell of a September "trade deadline" boost to add Coulombe, Grayson, Westburg, Kjerstad and Mateo back to the roster in September. Need to stay alive until then. The offense is talented enough to carry the team for a bit if they can harness some discipline and consistency. With all of those guys back we could be looking at a roster of:

CF Cowser

3B Westburg

SS Gunnar

RF Santander

C Adley

1B O'Hearn/Mountcastle

2B Holliday

DH Jimenez

LF Kjerstad

Bench: O'Hearn/Mounty, Mullins, Mateo, Urias/Mayo, Slater? (some things to figure out on the bench)

Rotation: Burnes, Eflin, Grayson, Kremer, Rogers

Pen: Cano, Coulombe, Dominguez, Perez, Kimbrel, Smith, Suarez, Soto/Akin, Webb?

No idea how Kjerstad will look coming off his IL stint, but hopefully hes able to recovery and contribute. He was really swinging well before the HBP. Obviously Mullins will be on the roster, so figuring out if Kjerstad or Slater are here. Slater gives a RH OF option which we dont have otherwise, and we know thats a priority for Elias. But overall, I would feel pretty good about this 26 man roster and depth if we are able to get those guys back healthy. Really missing Westy right now, and I like Mateos versatility/defense/speed on the bench over Urias.

Assuming/hoping all those guys come back, the Os will be in for some interesting roster decisions.
