we have been bad against struggling pitchers...maybe we'll be decent against good pitchers...Peterson is very good...

Glad to see Slater leading off.  Hyde almost has me convinced to believe his 'he's been great against LH pitching this year' and to ignore the fact he's hitting a .535 OPS against LHP this year... 

 

(I know, I know.  He's got good career numbers against them (.801 OPS) and his replacement in the lineup, Mullins, is hitting even worse against LHP, to a tune of .411.  Honestly, neither Mullins OR Slater should be playing against LHP this year, but the roster is what the roster is...)

Slater with a nice walk (kinda lucky as ball 2 was a strike I thought) and then Adley with a double play.  I really wish Adley would get back to hitting like we know he can.

Adley ends what might have been something good..we scored 1 run in game 3 vs Sox..and got only 3 hits in game 4...we need to start hitting...Im not getting my hopes up tonight with Rogers...

I was just about to post about Slater attempting to steal, but he went down in a DP before I could even start.

I fondly remember Nate Mclouth. For him a single was almost as good as a double.

If it's a first inning it MUST mean a Henderson K...now it's time to watch the ghastly Rogers. Maybe he'll be better than Ghastly...and improve to just awful
