Aug. 31: RHP Adrian Houser agrees to Minor League contract
In the wake of the right forearm contusion suffered by right-hander Dean Kremer on Saturday, the Orioles agreed to a Minor League deal with the 31-year-old Houser, the team announced.

Houser has spent eight seasons in the Majors, with a career 4.21 ERA (101 ERA+). He pitched for the Brewers in 2015 and from 2018-23. Milwaukee dealt him to the Mets last December. In 23 appearances (seven starts) for New York this season, Houser posted a 5.84 ERA before being released on July 31.

A little under the radar move that happened over the holiday weekend.

Houser has experience starting. Experience in Milwaukee, which our FO has ties with. With Irvin pitching in relief on Sunday, Houser might be in line for a start if Kremer misses his start on Friday.

I doubt that. Irvin is the most likely replacement if Kremer can't go. Povich tonight, Suarez Wednesday, off Thursday, Irvin starts for Kremer.

Personally I was hoping to get a look at Young, but I'm not sure if he's lined up.

More meat for the grinder!

No shame in minor league deals. They're quite literally limping to the finish line when it comes to pitching health.
