87 pitches is a good number considering the kid had labrum surgery and hasn't pitched in a year. He's obviously off to an encouraging start.

Not too worried about his velocity, he will pick up some mph as the year goes along. He's a "feel" pitcher and obviously his feel is coming back after showing some rust earlier this spring.
