And people wonder why more teams don't have a Venezuelan operation....

My prayer go out to Wilson and his family for a safe return.

Interesting blog post by Nats minor league P Ryan Tatusko (who is currently playing in a winter league in VZ) on the security measures players and coaches take when moving around down there. And typically American players down there are not targets for kidnappers, since they are mostly unknown. It's the native Venezuelans who are major-leaguers, and their families, that are prime targets since they are household names, national heroes, and of course are making good money (i.e. ransoms).

VZ Intelligence police confirm Wilson Ramos is still alive #Nationals.

How do they know. From what I've heard is that there has been no contact with the family or police.
