Get over Blanton. The Phils wanted more then just the O's to pay his salary.

We will hear about it all year every time someone has a poor start. Because Blanton has never had a poor performance.

If the Phils did not want much for Blanton, he would not still be a Phillie. It was not an us or nothing proposition.

I don't think so. His command was spotty in AAA, also. Just a bad, bad year for Britton.
Yeah, he really shouldn't have been brought up at all but I guess they had to bring someone up when Matusz and Arrieta were shipped down.

Not sure what Britton's deal is. Guys just ain't right after shoulder injuries sometimes.

What I've noticed is, beyond the obvious lack of command with pretty much every pitch is, Zach cannot throw the two seam fastball for a strike. Hitters just don't swing at it, it drops out of the zone, and they take it for a ball and just sit on the four seam fastball, and pound it into dust. This same issue plagued him last year. He just doesn't really get anyone to bite at the sinker.
