Like Valencia in the #4 spot. Hopefully, this will kick start the putrid offense. Would be nice for Morse to actually do something as well.

Although David Price's record is only 8-8 this season, his W.H.I.P. is an exemplary 1.093.

One of the reason's for this is because Price is having an unusually low walk rate this year, as compared to the rest of his career previous to the 2013 season.

From 2008-2012, Price had walked 259 batters in 786.33 innings, for an average of 1 walk every 3.04 innings.

This year, Price has walked only 25 batters in 165.67 innings, for an average of 1 walk every 6.63 innings.

Wieters and Hardy have been our best hitters vs. Price among those with more than handful of ABs. Plus Valencia, I guess they provide a backstop to the slumping Machado, Jones, and Davis, the latter two of whom do not have outstanding career stats vs. Price.

Yes, reaching base 13 out of 16 ABs is quite nice, indeed; after a game earlier this season in which Danny went 2 for 2 with a double and BB, Price admitted that, for some reason, Valencia does well against him.

I think this is a smart move whether it works or not.

Got to shake things up right now, the offense is way to stagnant against good starters lately.

We came back twice against the Sox to get wins but playing from behind isn't a great idea against price.

Lets get things going early and often!

I love it too! We quit wasting an at-bat at the top of the line-up with Markakis, and get right into the guys who can do some damage. The more Price sees Crush, Valencia, Wieters and Hardy, the better. I just hope Price hasn't thrown only 2 pitches by the time Crush comes up.

Why is Manny batting leadoff? Why is Valencia batting cleanup? Why isn't Nick or Roberts batting leadoff? Why is Jones batting second? At this time of the year its time to stop playing with the lineup. Morse in LF?
