Nope. There are 5th umps whp come in to town and join a crew for doubleheaders so an ump that worls the plate in one of the games can take the day off. But no spare umps that travel with crews.

How long can this possibly take?

11 minutes and some change, to: get the old ump out of there, get the equipment on the new ump, probably place a call to MLB to let them know what's going on, discuss the umpiring strategy for calling the game with 3 umps, letting the new home plate ump see a few pitches to get his strike zone in his head, then let the Angels SP toss a few warmups to get himself loose.

Ok, not great. He was hosed on some BAD umpire calls in the first inning, had to earn 5 outs to get out of the inning. 1-2-3 2nd, now struggling in the 3rd.
