He's been bad all year. Teams have figured him out. He's Rodrigo Lopz 2.0. They got a couple of good cheap years out of him. They have milked everything they could out of him.

That's simply not true. It's not even close to true. On a message board full of people who actually check stats, why would you even bother to post something like that?

He was "bad" in his first start. He's given up 8 earned runs in four starts since that first one (counting today). He throws too many pitches. He hasn't shown himself able to get past the 6th so far. But he's not been "bad" the whole year. Take away that Jones error (not to mention the rundown mistake), and toss in an offense that looks as though it knows what it's doing, and his season line looks entirely different.

10 ER in 3 games this series. That's terrible isn't it? If our offense wasn't completely terrible we would have this series in the bag. Just an embarassment of a series from every position player other than Nick.

3.33 ERA is terrible?

Im sorry, but stats doesn't tell everything. Poor command and high pitch counts. Why do you bother watching the game. Just look on your computer after the game and check the stats.

pitch counts go higher when you GIVE extra hitters. You know Jones' error, blown run down. That's 5-7 extra pitches those innings.

pitch counts go higher when you GIVE FREE OUTS.

As do runs scored (for the opponent.)

Gonzalez was let down by the defense twice today.

Once with an official error (Jones), and once with an unofficial error (Markakis.)
