How much more does he have to do to get to 5 MVP consideration?

Top 3?

Right now, Schoop is the top MVP candidate on our team.    Better BA, OBP, SLG, OPS and RBI.     Better rWAR and fWAR.    It would take another month like this one to vault Manny into MVP consideration.   Hey, why not?   B|

Manny is around 8 I would think in MVP race.  Altuve, Trout, Judge, Betts, Springer, Schoop,  Sale, Manny

Betts?   He's having a good year according to WAR but I doubt his traditional stats will garner many MVP votes.

Some things Manny did tonight:

- Got four hits

- Made four outstanding defensive plays

- Absolutely flew around the bases to score the winning run from 1B on Schoop's gapper.    He got a great read and took off on contact, took a great route around the bases, and showed a gear I didn't know he had.

What a great player he is.

Fine... how long does he get to be in a slump before folks consider that he is not that good a hitter? At least the HOF, and 400 million dollar contract talk has died down.

I agree with this guy.  Not that good of a hitter, and certainly not clutch.

I've always thought of Manny as being a very good hitter, but not a particularly clutch hitter in terms of raising his game in key situations.   He is changing my mind this year.

Add one more piece of evidence to the pile.    What a journey this season has been for Manny.

In years past Manny has come out of the gate to start seasons red hot, only to slump late. I'm perfectly fine with him getting hot late in the year and carrying the team into the postseason. Exciting stuff.

I said I was all in up to $375m, but what the hell, put me down for $400m.
