You guys can joke all you want about things that are not only totally unimportant, but also that you are wrong about. But the fact is this team had a great opp this year to win it all, and they let it slide right through their fingers.

Miller and Cruz are not going to help the starting pitching.

If the starting pitching doesn't get fixed the team is going nowhere with or without Miller and Cruz.

Yes, teams that go all in never have 7-10 stretches in a season. And teams that are three back with 145 to play always fade away to nothing.

How can a baseball fan who's lived through more than a handful of seasons see tragedy and apocalypse in every minor three week slump? How can someone who's watched the 2012-15 Orioles be so dead certain that the team Duquette and Showalter has assembled is destined for failure? You glass-half-full-is-really-an-illusion-because-the-glass-was-totally-destroyed-six-months-ago guys are unbelievably depressing. A tiny bit of adversity and you get vindictive and suicidal.

I am a realist first, fan second. Any objective person can see this is not a very talented baseball team.

Last season, the Orioles had a stretch of 7-14 in May.

Just because you say it three times does not make it so. You are reacting. And when the good times roll, will stay silent. I feel bad that you aren't a fan then. There is no "realist" hangout.
