If they don't appeal, they would miss the Orioles series.

I know players usually appeal, but I wonder if they would rather miss a start vs the Orioles than subsequent series vs division rivals (they play the Twins and Tigers after the Orioles).

For pitchers, is five games basically one start? If they appeal and even get it dropped by one, it's like no suspension. Or would the league take a hard line due to this fact?

Also is the appeal is denied their starts will just get pushed back 1 game... so I think we would see both of them still.
