O’Neill even saying it on the air. Stop trying to hit the home run ball.

I've hated the Yankees since I was a fetus in 83.

On behalf of the rest of us, we congratulate you for joining us and do not hold your brief moment of wavering against you.  You found the correct way.

Signed,

All who have hated the Yankees since inception.

Tonight's game against the Mariners is a must-win for the Orioles, because the Blue Jays just beat the Yankees by a score of 5-4 on a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Just prior to the game-winning home run being hit, Michael Kay pointed out that one of the reasons why the Yankees were stuck on 4 runs was because their offense had gone 1-for-16 with 1 Walk over the final 5 innings of the game (the top of the 5th through the top of the 9th.)

That game got rained out, which made it an opportunity wasted. But the Orioles are in the same position tonight, with the Yankees having lost their afternoon game to the Rays. Hyde needs to pull out all the stops, and manage tonight's contest as though it were Game 7 of the World Series. Forget about the pipe-dream rebuilding process, and all of that nonsense about the bigger picture of trying to make the Orioles a perennial contender ...... winning a game on the same day that the Yankees lose so that jack-offs like myself can make triumphant posts on a fan-based website is so much more important than that.

Thank goodness that the Orioles won this all-important game. Who knows what would have happened had they choked, and taken a loss ??? The already sagging fan support may have plummeted even more ...... props to Hyde for having the players aware and motivated for this watershed moment for the franchise.

With the Orioles' win and the Yankees' loss this afternoon, the 2 teams are now tied with each other in the basement of the AL East.

The Orioles climbed out of the AL East basement first.
