How many were preventable? All of them. There's no reason why baseball should allow players to injure other players to save a baserunner at first.

No one, I repeat, NO ONE watches baseball to see a guy get taken out or hurt by a slide no where near the bag. Good riddance.

I wouldn't say no one. But good for baseball to dissmiss those people.

Really, if Johnny is out why should he side anyway? His feelings are already hurt by being out. He should just stand in the base line and the 1st base coach should be allowed to run out and put his arm around him and walk him back to the dugout.

I am very confident in saying, if this did not happen in the playoffs. There would be no rule change.

I liked the part where it was a legal slide under the new rules but if he were to do it now he would change it to follow the new rule.
