Any reports on Kim, Tillman, and Gonzo.

"There are a few newcomers too. One that I feel will be making important contributions to the team is outfielder Hyun Soo Kim. He is here after working out with Brady Anderson for two weeks in California. A South Korean friend who is very astute about baseball players advises me that Kim is an excellent player. I’ve had a couple of conversations with Kim through his interpreter Danny Lee and find him to have a sense of humor and basically a smiling, happy person. He is very popular in South Korea. He seemed pleased that I played his “Spirit” chant for him. You can listen to it at http://www.thescore.com/news/920392. It is very “catchy.” I think South Korean and Japanese baseball games are especially fun to watch due to the constant chanting, cheer-leading and band-playing. It reminds me of soccer games except that there is a baseball game going on.

Kim was introduced to the media today and seemed to have charmed most of them. He admitted to being nervous but being ready to meet the challenges. He is happy to have the chance to play here. He said his favorite Oriole player is Adam Jones. That should help make an excellent outfield. My prediction is that Kim will be a pleasant surprise to many fans."

Kim could be the X factor this year for the O's. If he can get on base he will add something to the lineup that we don't really have right now. Adding Fowler would take some of that pressure off Kim though.

Thinking the same. Kim AND Fowler greatly improves this team's on base abilities. If it works out, the Os become a pretty tough lineup.
