The Orioles are ready to hit.Other teams not so much.The Orioles study who is pitching. The other team does not.

Wright hangs a slider = Great pitch!

Stroman hangs a slider = He got away with one there.

I got all Fred Manfra on that play. I thought that thing was gone as soon as I saw Davis swing.

Unfortunately so am I. That wasn't even his worse call of the night. His call at the plate when Trumbo threw out the Blue Jays baserunner was far worse. It took him about 25 seconds to describe what happened at the plate. How has this guy been a profesional play by play announcer for almost 20 years and not shown any improvement over that time period?

It amazes me the lack of high speed cameras being used for replays. Pathetic, where's the high speed cameras to get the good slow motion replays?

Anyway, I don't think this will be overturned. It's close.

      Unless it actually was load management, aren't we winning enough to allow Grayson to have a bit of a rehab start?  Also we have an off day on Thursday, so we could just skip Kremer's turn.  The 15 day IL brings in more factors than the 10 day IL that was around for a few seasons.

      Except no one else is hitting near as badly in losses especially when you consider how good he is hitting overall.  Anyhow, just an anomaly that I wish I could figure out ahead of time for the purpose of betting.

      Cole Ragans is a TJ x 2 guy May 2019 and March 2018, which I believe for some Clubs would play bigger than others how to assess him. Robert Stephenson was June 2nd last year...here's how MLB trade rumors beheld him: Here in 2023, he began the season on the injured list due to elbow inflammation but was able to return in the middle of April.  He’s since made 18 appearances but has a 5.14 ERA in those. He’s still getting punchouts at a similar rate but his control seems to have fallen off this year. He struck out 26.8% of opponents from 2019 to 2022 and walked 7.9% but those figures are 27.9% and 13.1% this year. That’s a small sample size but Stephenson has shown himself to be fairly inconsistent in his career, with notable swings in his effectiveness. Nonetheless, the Rays will take a shot on helping him harness his stuff. Given their track record of helping flawed pitchers get the best of their arsenals, it wouldn’t be a total shock to see Stephenson get back on track in Tampa.

      This is what I saw in the outing he had down in Richmond, as I posted above sitting around 95, a lot of loud hit balls off him that day though.  I wonder if moving him to the bullpen would allow him to crank up the velocity a bit and become a little harder to hit.

      Wonder if they should look to move him to the pen? On one hand, let him throw as much as possible since he missed so much time. But at his age, it’s going to be a while before he can truly be relied on as a starter and he doesn’t have innings limitations. You love the arm but it’s very unlikely he makes it as a starter imo.
