It’s not bad but I think we can and should do better. Akin has a lower career FIP as a reliever. And he’s not good. -

I was joking, you know…. No reason to get uppity about people who are argumentative. I remember visiting pinstripe alley and making an innocent comment about Steve Pearce, and was immediately blocked. Talk about folks who can’t take it. -
We definitely need to load up on pitching depth in this year's draft also. However, I'd still prefer to avoid pitchers in the first round. That 1st round pick is too important to risk it on the fickleness of young pitchers. But 2nd round and beyond, let's grab a bunch of pitchers. -
Hat tip to the OP for the valiant attempt at a consolidated thread. Of course the closer we get to the deadline more and more anxious posters feel the need for new threads suggesting solutions. Anyway the Dallas Morning News had a story yesterday and if the new ownership is willing to pick up some contract $$ we should be able to preserve the top of our prospect class. The Rangers will seem to want to squeeze under the penalty number if they aren’t making the playoffs. They hated that I went on there, was right about everything I said and then threw it in their faces when they were dbags to me. They can dish it but can’t take it. They all look bad because of the Ortiz stuff, how they just knew Cease was getting top 20 prospects (and now they are like, well maybe he really is just a 2/3 guy and 2022 was an aberration), etc…they said I was wrong for saying Elias wouldn’t trade Basallo or Mayo for Cease. Hell, I even got push back when I said Kopech should be a reliever and they said no, they are starting him. Oh well 🤷♂️
