Mancini and Sisco could be good shots in the arm. DD could find a way to make this happen.

I don't normally go for conspiracy theories but when it come to the Patriots and a lesser extent the Yankees it makes me wonder if somehow they didn't contaminate the Orioles visitor clubhouse/lockers with the flu virus. Wouldn't be that hard to do if someone had the idea and paid someone to do it!

While I'd love to buy into that, it was reported that Davis was sick on the flight from Tampa to NY.

The Yankees advanced scout for that series, posed as the hotel bell hop and infected Davis' luggage when he checked out.

The flu is going around the Orioles' clubhouse.

Buck Showalter has it, and he may not manage tonight's game.

Bench coach John Russell would take his place if Showalter were unable to go.

THE NEXT DAY:

Showalter will manage today's game.

Maybe from all that congratulatory post game handshaking. Everyone knows about the zillion germs in your hands. Oh, that's right, they haven't won the last 4 games. Nevermind.

Everyone get it out of their system and everyone get healthy for the second half run. Without DD adding any real help, they'll have to do it alone. It CAN be done. Go Os!

I was at the game today. Davis looked sick -- washed-out color, moving uncomfortably when he entered and left the dugout. Manny looked better, but he didn't have his usual smiling demeanor. Both seemed to economize their movements, but that may have been due to the extreme heat.
