Well, with men on base and the possibility of making it a 2 run game with one swing of the bat, I still think using him to get one high leverage out was absolutely defensible.

And bringing him in for four outs was maybe ok too.

But if the plan all along was to bring him in for seven outs, then that was a pure panic move.
