With Matt Wieters hitting the open market this winter, the Orioles ?definitely have an interest? in a reunion with Nick Hundley, according to Dan Connolly of BaltimoreBaseball.com. A deal with Hundley would mark the veteran?s second tour of duty with Baltimore, as he was one of the team?s primary catchers in 2014 when Wieters missed most of the season due to Tommy John surgery.

His offense was up the last two years and at least for last year, he was actually better on the road, so maybe not just a Coor's effect.

This is the kind of replacement I expected. Nobody's going to be up in arms if Sisco unseats Hundley as primary catcher.

Personally, I feel neutral about it.

Hundley is a safe pick to hold down the position with Joseph next year assuming Sisco is ready to take over later in the season or for 2018. I'm okay with it.

The only things we know is that Boras came to visit toward the end of the season and that the O's didn't extend a QO.

My guess is that Matt would like to stay but I have no idea what type of interest Dan might have.

To keep Wieters and have him play for 2-3 years, or sign Hundley and platoon the position with Joseph. Maybe if we had Nelson Cruz on the team again, but because we don't I'd pass.
