Well there you have a more than slightly misleading thread title.  I mean the Chargers just left, so who knows?  Did the Padres suddenly get renamed and make a trade for Jones?

When I first read the thread title, I thought that Jones was going to be a 2nd-string guard for a minor league basketball team, like Roy Jones, Jr. was for a game in the U.S.B.L in 1996.
