Ump could have simply ejected Sale from the game. That would have delivered a message this nonsense needs to stop as it would also 1. immediate blow to the sawx losing their best pitcher which significantly decreases their chances of winning, and 2. it puts the bullpen in trouble for the rest of the game and the series.

Ubaldo was ejected in fenway 2 years ago without warning simply due to the ump thinking he threw internationally at Pablo Sandoval. Ubaldo had gone 3 and 2/3rds, 3 walks, no hits, there was no intention, Ubaldo was just wild as usual.

Sale does it on purpose today, no ejection.

This.  Period.  Spot on.  And we need to remember, this whole thing started by Manny over slidding second base by accident.  And since then the Sox have thrown at Manny 5 times and missed.  Mike Lowell, former Red Sox player of course, pretty much just called out Sox and Farrell as well on MLB Network.  He said, agree with the message or not, you had your chance to send a message, and you missed.  Once you failed you are done.  

Sale should have been tossed.  It's one thing if he were the pitcher the day after.  It's now eleven days and four attempts later.

What's Joe gonna do? No one was tossed. He's only the judge after someone gets tossed. He should have given Barnes more in the first damn place.

This is a joke. Isnt there beef with Manny over? Oh they though Bundy threw at Betts. So they can't hit Jones because the recent racist stuff. Let's face it, Davis and Trumbo are freaking huge. So they come after Manny again. 

Sale is a punk.  Doesn't he have prom dresses to cut up or cry about something some scrub's kid in the clubhouse.  Pedroia would get his ass whipped by any player in baseball. Rudy is bigger than him. 

Notice how nobody tried this crap when we had Hunter. We should have kept Wright up, he's a goon, and pegged Pedroia in his bald spot. That's a big target.

Not sure that is true. Joe can still fine or even suspend Sale if he deems that it was intentional even if the umps didn't make that conclusion.

Send out warnings before the game. He does that the Sale pitch never happens. He isn't getting tossed in the 1st. And if he does it later in game he gets suspended. He will get nothing for what he did tonight. 

It isn't really funny that they are throwing at him but those fools can't hit Manny. 0-5. Whether it was on purpose or not Betts was drilled.

To be fair they were the same fans dropping N bombs. There's only what 5k seats in the OF. I'm sure it wasn't just one guy. Typical Boston.
