Lamar Sparks - 2017 5th rounder

I know it's the GCL, but you have to love the start he's gotten off to.  I thought he deserved his own thread to track his progress.

Big game yesterday with the 5 for 6, including a 2B, 3B and 2 steals.

He has a rocket for an arm, good wheels and should stick in CF (though he does have 4 errors in 28 games so far).

You have to love that OBP and walk rate, even if the Ks are a bit on the high side.  His 6'2" 170lb frame is primed for filling out as he matures.  A lot to like here with this one.

Hope to see him atop the lineup at DEL to start off next season.  Turns 19 at the end of September.

For a tools guy who all the draft analysts said was very raw and a project, it's a great start.  

He'll be an interesting guy to watch next year.
