Considering they were an NL team as recently as 2012, all you're showing is that you became a baseball fan more than six years ago...hardly a clear sign of your age ;)

Now...if you start calling the Brewers an AL team or referencing the Washington Senators, then we may be on to something.

I'm 43 with the memory of an 80 year old :(

...which kinda offset by the fact that the Cubs and Astros have had stacked lineups for the last few years. Ranked 1 and 4 respectively in runs scored last season. Cincy has been middle of the road the past few years too. I'm not trying to say the NL Central is the AL East, but it has plenty of band boxes and good offensive teams.

The Astros play in the AL Central. 5.54 ERA against the cubs the past 3 years for Lynn, .252 average for cubs hitters against him.

Yeah, I was already called out on this. No need to mock my early onset dementia. On the the plus side, I'll forget you did in five minutes.

I never understood why the Nationals could not get that name back.

Not as if it was associated with success.

I would want no part of the old Senators legacy if I were the team.

I like Cobb because he is AL East battle tested.

Career splits vs AL East:

Red Sox:  14 games, 3.43 ERA in 81.1 IP, 1.254 WHIP, 6.4 K/9
Yankees:   14 games, 2.99 ERA in 90.1 IP, 0.996 WHIP, 6.5 K/9
Blue Jays:  8 games, 3.23 ERA in 47.1 IP, 1.056 WHIP, 7.2 K/9
Orioles:  12 games, 2.70 ERA in 73.1 IP, 1.200 WHIP, 8.2 K/9

I voted Lynn, but these stats against the AL East are making me lean more towards Cobb.

Well someone is lighting him up because his career "away" era is 4.72.

  • US Cellular 24.00
  • Minute Maid 8.68
  • Safeco 6.29
  • Rangers BP 5.79
  • Kauffman 5.06
  • Angel Stad 4.94
  • Progressive 4.74

Does not seem to change time zones well.  But it's probably due to small sample size.

  • Camden 4.62
  • Rogers 4.00
  • Fenway 3.15
  • Yankee Stad 3.12
  • Tropicana 3.10
  • Target 2.53
  • Oakland Col 2.18
  • Comerica 2.16
