Think the clubhouse is starting to fall apart. No Hardy and O'Day to hold it together, Jones nearing free agency and the frustration at Chris Davis's strikeout extravaganza. Alongside the Manny trade speculation and the team playing heads down baseball, this could get ugly very quickly ...

It was ugly 2 weeks into the season.   We could use some backstabbing to make season somewhat interesting.

Is that the same Buck Showalter who told us in spring training that Chris Tillman was back to being his old self?

Is that the same Buck Showalter who left Trumbo in right field last night, even though he (apparently) had injured his knee earlier?

This is rather dull as clubhouse intrigue/dysfunction goes. We need guys sleeping with each other’s wives and spiking each other’s unleaded coffee with greenies before we are in interesting in its own right territory.

Sorry  don’t mean to make light of a deteriorating situation it you said this could get ugly.

Chris Davis lined a single into left field last night and extended his arm toward the Orioles’ dugout on the third base side as he dropped the bat and ran to first. He rounded the bag and gave coach Wayne Kirby an exaggerated fist bump.

I’m guessing that the location of the hit brought about Davis’ animated reaction. Or just the fact that he got a hit after a 2-for-38 stretch.

Today's Roch
