"Lower back strain". Probably from tripping in a pothole in the parking lot.

I'd say it's from constantly digging the team into holes when he pitches.

He won't get cut without at least 2-3 more starts for Baltimore.  If that weren't the case he would have been DFA'd - and whoever lobbied hard to bring him back would have a considerable amount of egg on his face.

I'm not big on conspiracy thories about politics within organizations I don't belong to, but there was no justifiable reason to bring Tillman back except on a minor league contract.  Sitting here on the outside, this strikes me as corporate ass-covering in the face of a predictable outcome more than anything else.

I don’t care if he goes on the 60 day DL.  Hate to waste a 40 man spot otherwise.

It’s going to be embarrassing watching him get shelled in rehab stints like last year. 

I don’t know how he held it together through the WC game in 2016 but that was awesome. He’s never been right since. 

He needs a season off or some surgery or something.

My guess is they drag this out as long as they can. Gives him a chance to make some AAA starts without accepting being sent down. 

Unfortunately I don’t see it working.
