Yes, Oregon State isn't nearly as good as last year. They should win a couple though.

UCLA, Georgia, Vandy, and Texas Tech are the top teams this year IMO.

I noticed their 16 rank on the telecast last night - as I understand it there are 16 4-team double eliminations going on this weekend, which I am guessing may go to the Top 16 teams.  It is a long road back from a Game 1 loss, and if they really are the "last regional host in", one of the other teams there this weekend may be the 17th seed.  I'm probably over-projecting from basketball there though.

If we were better I would care more about Rutschman's freshness for pro ball, then maybe an extra month this summer could really ready him for sometime next summer.  But I imagine he'll get slow played just like Diaz and Mountcastle, with an April 15, 2021 best case, even if Rutschman 2020 is as good as Vlad 2018.

I believe I saw the Corvallis winner would get the UCLA region's winner (overwhelmingly likely to be UCLA) in the Super Regionals, so would guess today the odds of OSU getting to Omaha aren't' very good.

I don't know why everyone wants to see Rutschman playing in the minors and then up in the majors as soon as possible. If anything I want him as delayed as possible, so that we have him for as long as possible until we have the other pieces needed around him.

I want him promoted when he's ready to be promoted.

I don't want him spending four years at AAA because "the major league team isn't ready".

Rutschman should be up two weeks into the 2021 season. Whether he goes deep in the College World Series doesn't change that calculus one way or the other. But I would rather get him in the system as soon as possible.

This is looking like are playoff series vs the Royals.  Creighton and Cindy playing amazing defense outfields have caught everything with lots of great catches and some bad luck for the Beavers.  400 ft fly out to dead center liners right at fielders.
