My friend in medical field told me the antibody test is only 50% accurate right now.  Said its pretty much useless and waste of money/ time to get it at this point

I wish you posted this earlier. I got the antibody test a few days ago and it came back negative. Interesting no one else was getting any bloodwork at all. Just me a receptionist and the blood taker the building.  I wonder how many people are going to have other issues not diagnosed due to all of this.

The tests are inaccurate because they test for all viruses in the Corona family, including the common cold.

I find that strange because the first year my daughter was in daycare I had colds for the entire year.

Roch says in his article today that he hasn't seen Dwight Smith Jr or Anthony Santander on the field yet.  DJ Stewart certainly will get many at bats if either or both are out.  They are saying that to get the extra year of service time players like Mountcastle will only have to be down for a week.  It seems he will get a chance sooner than later.

Also Roch added in another article that Alex Cobb and Mychael Givens have not been spotted as well.

His second, later article says Cobb and Givens threw side sessions and will pitch tomorrow.

In FL or MD? I can't delay my business in Miami any longer and will be headed down in an Amtrak sleeping car's roomette (individual bathroom, meals brought to me) in about a week. Costs just slightly more than a 1st-class airplane seat, but it is a 27-hour ride. As for getting to the station, I rather irrationally prefer taking a subway to Penn Station and walking around there over a Lyft to JFK Airport and dealing with TSA.

Will be interesting to see the post-July 4th stats. As a 64-year-old with a history of pneumonia, I feel it's necessary to take precautions as much as possible. My vigorous 74-year-old friend is a mechanical engineer with lots of on-site supervisory work to do in other cities; he's going to the extreme of driving everywhere in his own car--even all the way from Miami to NY.

Florida, I live in Florida.

Pinellas county in rough shape.

From what I read, I’d tend to give a little break on the testing delay.  At least in Doolittle’s case.  For some reason he got tested on Friday instead of Wednesday.  It’s Sunday of a holiday weekend.

Cant speak to the lack of PPE though.

Freddie Freeman reported to camp and tested negative.  Now he has it and is “not doing great” and “will be out for some time” according to his manager.

Yeah, reading between the lines it sounds like he has it pretty bad. Guy's had a fever since Thursday. Not going to eulogize him or anything but it just sounds a little more ominous than the other publicized cases.

What's curious is that his wife says that they never went out for 4 months, yet he still caught it.

Testing is not starting off smoothly.  Both Oakland and Washington have postponed today’s workouts because of a failure in returning test results.

Testers didn’t show up for LAA and two other teams yesterday.

Astros too. MLB is not exactly instilling confidence in their ability to keep people safe.
