Marlins have four test positive

So we are heading to Miami and the Marlins will be short handed missing few key players.  We take two out of three and now they missing few players.  All the breaks going our way this season.

Oh, man ........ it would be horrible luck if the 1st-place Orioles had their Cinderella season shut down prematurely if there winds up being too many positive tests throughout the Major Leagues.

Anyone want to guess Friday morning playoff odds if we are 6-1 capitalizing on depleted Marlins.

At least the other 1-1 rivals all have a win (or two, I see you Tigers).

I’m worried they might pass it to an Oriole, or to anyone.  Remember, you’ve got it before you show it, and by the time you show it and get tested, you’ve already exposed it to a lot of guys.

it is highly unlike that the team that takes the field tomorrow will be clean.

Aren’t they testing regardless of what symptoms are showing?

Rather than making a new thread, we'll just put this here, since it's related.  The Marlins aren't travelling until tomorrow and will get in just a couple of hours before game time.

Sure but as I understand it, you are contagious even if you are asymptomatic. So even if they test you every day, you’re going to be able to spread it before you test positive. Is that incorrect?

thats the main reason we wear the masks. Even if we don’t show symptoms, we can pass it along, and that’s why we wear masks to protect both ourselves and others.

No, the test should work whether or not you are showing symptoms.

Right.  The issues are that asymptomatic people in the general public either don't have the motive to test, or that there aren't enough testing resources to randomly test in most places.

Wonder if they'd consider moving Miami and/or Tampa Bay to a state that isn't as badly infected right now.  Maybe move them to minor league stadiums like the Blue Jays.
