Only saw his first two at bats.

Looked good in the first at bat. Laid off a breaking ball just off the plate with two strikes in the first at bat and fouled off another tough pitch before working a walk. Went up hacking in the next one and struck out on three pitches. Such a contrast.

 How’d he look on the last two?

It looked like the plan was breaking balls early in the count and don't throw him strikes.

Would be expected when the first line of the scouting report is "he walks twice a month."  Not sure what they'll do now that he got his quota in one game.

Two walks in his first game was nice.  First ML hit has to be a bit of a disappointment though, a swinging bunt that he had to leg out.  But he's got one on the board.  Got robbed on a hard hit ball by Pillar, but that's what Pillar does.

I'm curious if other teams pitch to him the same way Boston did and what he does in response if they do. 

I think it will do a lot more for his development than glorified BP in Bowie.

That’s baseball.    The announcers said the screaming liner had a .636 xBA, but Pillar robbed him.   So then a swinging dribbler goes for a hit.    His BA is the same as if he’d gotten what he “deserved” both times.
