I thought that the 2-2 pitch to Soto was a Strike ........ but he grounded into a force-out on the very next pitch, so it only wound up costing Malone the throwing of one extra pitch.

On many occasions, I have seen the complexion of a plate-appearance, an inning, and even an entire game turn on one bad Strike-Ball call by the home-plate umpire ........ it's nice to see the times when it doesn't, also.

I love Melanie Newman’s pace. It’s a classic slow, even, mellifluous pace. In contrast Geoff Arnold sounds like he is on his 5th Red Bull. Plus, I think he talks more than half the time when Melanie is doing the play by play.

That’s horrible. My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. It’s still one of the cancers that has a bad prognosis.
