I am not sure the 60 is full.  I think he became healthy while on the  IL and they released him instead of pay him.  He was on a minor league contract.

The thing about Stevie is he hit right-handers in the majors in 2019 much better have Alberto, Valaika or Urias,  He can play 2B as good as any of them.  That is his pluses.  His minuses are he is 28 on a rebuilding team and he can't hit lefties.

The 60 is full since Mason Williams and Dilson Herrera cleared waivers and were sent to Bowie. Both are more useful in Bowie right now then holding a roster spot for an injured player (same with Ty Blach.)

Trumbo treatment?

Sure.

Even though I'd be super pissed if he's still on the roster in 2021 if there's a short season, I get it.  It'd save them some money, and while I disagree that saving some money is more important than competing and getting younger players at bats....I get it.

In previous seasons, one could make the argument (I wouldn't) that Davis wasn't taking away significant at bats from some top prospects.  But now with the emergence of Mountcastle and Stewart and hopefully a Mancini return next year, there's no good reason to have him around.  Elias has to make the Angelos clan understand.
