He also had 21 HR's, 101 RBI's, and 100 runs scored for the 1979 California Angels, who were that year's A.L. West champions.

In that year's A.L.C.S., Ford hit 2 home runs against the Orioles in the Angels' 3 games to 1 loss to the Birds. He also hit a home run in the 1983 World Series for the Orioles against the Phillies.

For his career, Ford collected 1,121 hits and hit 121 home runs.
