Just based on the roster, it almost looks like they may need to.  He's said before that things can go quick.  With their top 3-4 guys coming up next year coupled with Davis' contract expiring (this part of it), it's seems about the right time to start supplementing from outside the organization.

I heard Ben McDonald on 105.7 say Rhodes could be the sleeper pick of this draft.  He said last year he was stricken with injuries and Covid issues but they feel if he has all the tools to be a first round pick if he played another year of college.

On the Verge reported that Rhodes was in Baltimore yesterday.  Hopefully he’ll be signed shortly.

Interesting. A number of fans were mocking this pick as under slot. But it looks like we ended up with some value here. It'll be fun to look back in 5-7 years to see how this draft pans out, and see the number quality of players we found and developed.

He was never going to be an underslot. He was a high risk high reward guy who struggled this past season to hit for a high average, but has tools to work from. He'll be interesting guy to watch once he starts playing games, particularly next season.
