Can you DFA a player on the IL?   He is not on the 40 man roster anyway because he is on the 60 day IL.

That is interesting.  I knew they didn't count on the 26 man roster but I didn't know it opens space on the 40 man roster.

That's pretty cool. Sad to say I don't think his time in MLB will delay his acting career much. Hope I'm wrong there.
