I have always thought that Brian Matusz was the perfect spitting image of Alfred E Newman. Go look up that stupid picture and those ears and see what you think.

The good thing about Matusz was I rarely had to hear him speak.

No reason to stress.  No expectations.

If this team ever plays a meaningful game again in the future, this board (me included, I'm not above it) won't know how to handle it.

I can remember back to our playoff teams in the 2010s. I remember those games, but I don't remember how I was dealing with the stress at the time.

During the Yankees series in 2012 I wanted to start smoking and I don't smoke. Most likely I would just start coughing if I lit up a cigarette, but the tension of playoff baseball is unbearable.

To be serious for a second, I remember in close games getting up and pacing around a lot, with the volume turned up loud enough for me to hear while not being able to see the screen, but staying close enough that I could scramble back if something good happened. I haven't done that during an Orioles game for quite a while.

All these years later, and it still hit the foul pole. Bit of trivia about that series, the last RBI was courtesy of Lew Ford.

I love that series, I thought it was one of the most enjoyable series of baseball I’ve ever watched. It would’ve been even better if the umpires had agreed that it hit the foul Pole

It doesn't qualify as stress, but I get frustrated not knowing when this team can and will be sold to real owners. The situation can improve under current ownership from the mess that Peter Angelos created -- it could hardly get worse -- but I don't think the kind of money it will take to build a contender is going to be made available by the Angeloses.
