Baumann to start tomorrow? Nope. Lowther. Baumann promoted on Tuesday!

Baumann's last start was on the 31st so it is either him or Lowther who pitched on the 1st. Kremer pitched on Friday.

That would be interesting. We could go with a bullpen game as well and shuttle guys out afterwards.

Would love to see it. In his last 10 starts he’s been pretty solid, with only one bad outing. Would make sense for him to get a look. I feel bad for Lowther, but I’d rather him stay in one spot (AAA) for the rest of the season unless there’s a new need and he’s killing it down there.

Being "ready" for a Monday home game feels a little bit like when Cowser and the draftees were ready for that home series against the last place team.

A good Baumann September could still ease some of the pain of this year's pitcher crop.   While I didn't have zero expectations for Akin, Kremer, etc. I thought Baumann was the best rookie pitcher we were likely to see this year barring any pleasant surprise.

Remember, in 2018 Means was called up and given one start at the end of the season. Bruce Zimmerman got into 2 games last season, started 1. There is still time for Baumann this season.
