It's time to play the players of the future

General question to the board.

What is the point of Stowers being up if he's going to get fleeting at bats? I thought when we brought him up the idea was to see what we have but instead were seeing Austin Hays as a mainstay in the lineup while hitting .178 since July 1. Why not leave him in AAA and get him consistent at bats.

I know there is much acclaim for Hyde this year but to my eyes this is egregious. What am I missing?

They think he can’t hit lefties in spite of doing it quite well at Norfolk. There’s no way he could possibly be worse than Hays has been.

Could always do something crazy and play him and see if he can show you that he can hit lefties.

I guarantee you he can’t learn to hit them if you never let him try.
