2023 Ongoing Lineup Thread

The one thing I'm not sure I get is what does the lefties have to do with it? I just looked at McCann's splits and I'm not so sure he's a 'better' option against lefties.

Exactly what I was wondering. I don't think McCann is back to 100% yet. That's why we still have Benboom on the roster.

I don't hate this lineup. I like Mullins batting 9th against the lefty - it was annoying to me that he had success doing that in Boston but then they abandoned it. So that's good to see. And Hays is hot and saw a bunch of pitches yesterday so why not. And I at least want to see what McCann looks like against a lefty or two. Might as well if they are doing this 3 catcher thing, and McKenna was a non-factor at the plate yesterday anyway.

I think that's part of it.  Not so much he isn't healthy, but he's being eased back into action.

I just looked at his career splits and he’s got a .775 OPS against LHP to only .635 against RHP.

DH James McCann. What a joke. Even with his splits, he has no business being in a MLB lineup when he’s not catching. Embarrassing.

We need Westburg on the major league roster badly. He should have been promoted last summer to replace Odor.

Every day Westburg stays in AAA is roster mismanagement by Elias.

I think Elias has done a great job... except he seems hesitant to change his mind on some of his ideas.
