It’s baaaaack!

5-5 after the first 10 games.  1-2 @ BOS, 2-1 @TEX, 1-2 vs. NYY, 1-0 vs. OAK.

The team has scored 50 runs and allowed 50.   That’s slightly above average for the offense (5.00 vs. 4.78 AL average), below average for the pitching (5.00 vs. 4.62 league average). But the pitching numbers would look significantly better if the defense had been decent, IMO.

Last night's game looked like the blueprint from last year: a solid start, very good defense, a few timely home runs, and a nice back-end bullpen performance.

The A's are a AAA team so it's tough to get too excited, but it's a nice confidence-builder. Keep the train rolling boys.

5-5 (50 RS, 50 RA)

8-2 (56 RS, 39 RA)

7-3 (52 RS, 46 RA)

6-4 (42 RS, 35 RA)

1-0 @KCR, 1-2 @ATL, 2-1 vs. TBR, 2-1 vs. PIT

Runs were harder to come by, but the pitching was very solid in this ten-game tranche.

Worth noting the competition was much more difficult this 10 game stretch.

1-0  at CHC, 1-1 at TBR, 2-1 vs. SEA, 1-2 vs, CIN, 0-1 vs. MIN

Despite the 5-5 record, the O's had their worst pitching performance of any ten-game segment this year and a very poor run differential.
