I'm not sure that's a catch.

It clearly gets loose, not sure if he regained control in time.

Great effort tho, and if he didn't hold onto it, great job of hiding that fact.

Agreed, it's not a catch. he dropped it under his leg in the attempt and grabbed it as he stood, but still a great effort.

Just like CharmCity said, you can see the ball leave his glove on is on his belt first, then on the ground next to his left knee. What’s funny is, he clearly picks it up off the ground next to his knee.

Heck of an effort.  I missed the missed catch the first time I watched.   Not a catch though.   Therefore, not a great catch.

By the way, I’ve watched about 10 times and I’m still not sure if the ball touched the ground before Williams had control.

It's hard to tell when it came loose but logic tells me from where the ball is that he had it in his glove when he hit the ground and then it came out.
