Stowers needs to feel the bat hit the ball and have some success.  A change of scenery will do him some good.  He has no confidence in himself right now.   Unfortunately, he had no trade value right now, either.

It's a cumulative effect.

Why bring him into a game in which he isn't even the tying run?

I guess if he gets on it brings you closer to the tying run.  I think you'd feel better if he just didn't come to the park on certain days.  No batting practice. No drills. Nothing.
