FG has it 121-90 since 5.21.2022, 4th best MLB record in about a 1.33 season sample, Rougned Odor and all.

But 23 games behind ATL in the same stretch, so work to do if that Best Record in a 5-year period result is to be matched.

Do you get a ring for the best record over a five year span?  Do they hang a banner?

Plus the "record" they would be matching was AL only.

Anyway, the O’s had the best record in the AL, not MLB, in that 2012-16 stretch.  The Nats, Dodgers maybe one other NL team had a better record than the O’s in that period.  And honestly, a record of 444 wins in 5 years isn’t really that great.  I bet in most 5-year stretches there are several teams with more wins than that.  Including the 2023-27 Orioles!

Not only are we 121-90 since Adley debuted, but to put that into perspective... we were 16-24 when Adley was called up.

A little update on the 2023 “Adley Rutschman Effect.”

With Adley at C : 45-26 (.634)

With Adley at DH: 12-10 (.545)

With Adley as PH: 1-3

When Adley doesn’t play: 4-1

It stands to reason that if Adley is used as a PH, we are probably losing.  So, you could look at the “did not start” games as 5-4 combined (.555), about the same as when Adley is the DH.

The good news here is that the O’s are winning more than they lose even when Adley isn’t behind the plate.  And, the fact that we’re going just as well whether Adley starts at DH or doesn’t start, suggests that maybe we should give Adley a few more days of complete rest as opposed to DHing him.

Nevertheless, the bottom line is that the O’s are superb when Adley is behind the dish.
