I couldn’t watch. Was Cano abnormally bad or was it kinda what we have seen.

he had no control ,gave up a bomb then walked 2 batters while only getting one out,he has only walked 7 all season

If Cano has any options left, he needs to be optioned to Bowie for some rest and mechanical reconstruction so he can come back strong for the playoffs.

For the love of God, Mr. Elias, please trade for someone who can lock down the 8th inning.

I could see a switch with Wells down the road.

Fuji needs to be the setup man. Let Cano work his problems out in low pressure situations.

I still don’t trust Fuji if it’s not a clean start to an inning. This team has got to find someone that can get people out in the 7th and 8th with men on base.

Trusting in Fujinami to be the eighth inning guy in place of Cano is not a plan. Elias needs to figure something else out if they want Cano in some lower pressure situations. I'm not saying Fujinami can't be that guy, but he's got to prove himself first.

I don't understand that move either but he started to struggle long before that. Using him in lower leverage makes sense but then don't bring him back in high leverage the next day. However, I am not sure who else we trust there. I would be in favor of more.of a committee approach for the 7th-8th.

Fuji needs to get his shot to be the 8th inning guy and Cano needs to be used less .
Unless we get Hader lol

Why are folks so preoccupied with Fujinami having a “clean inning”?

I’m a pretty big Fuji skeptic. But best I can tell, he’s come in with runners on base 11 times this year, and he’s stranded them 8 out of those 11 times.

That’s a pretty decent success rate, in terms of getting out of messes. Certainly not the kind of thing that would make me fixate on ensuring that he gets to start with the bases clear, at least any moreso than I would with any reliever.

Shouldn’t have used Cano last night with a 9-3 lead. We’ve gone to the Cano well too often.

I think they tried to build his confidence in a low leverage situation, but what it ended up doing is gassing him for a high leverage situation tonight..Frankly, I didnt understand why Brandon pitched him last night...he was good, though...
