Our GM is the guy who ditched Mancini and Lopez at the exact time.  You think he wants old fossils on the team like Scherzer?

No, and that's one of the reasons Scherzer isn't an Oriole. I'm just interested in checking up on what the various deadline options are doing. People hated the idea of getting Michael Lorenzen and he pitched eight innings of two-run ball today.

Tall ask with KG on the mound today for Toronto, but I was going to be happy with a split anyway so Toronto basically gained no ground. Baseball is a weird game, we might score 38 runs, who knows?

Me too, I hope he's not too pumped up and trying too hard. He's got more experience in big games than anyone on the team other than Gibson, so hopefully, he's okay.

He's had an interesting year.   Great overall, but when he has had a bad day it's been very bad.   He's given up 8 runs twice and 6 runs conce.

Still, the Phillies played twelve innings yesterday. Lorenzen pitching eight innings is pretty significant for them.
