Still shocking to me.  Has to be the dumbest contract ever...

Especially when you consider, we increased it when no one else was bidding.

That contract was elder abuse. I'm not sure Angelos had all his faculties when Boros had him bid against himself.

I don’t know that there’s much evidence of that.  The contract was signed in early 2016.   If I recall the Angelos lawsuit correctly, Peter had a significant stroke that impaired his faculties some time in late 2017 or early 2018.  Now, it’s possible he was already going downhill before that happened.  But no way to know that.

For me, the more likely scenario is that CD was just one of the family's favorites and they couldn't part with him.  So now they are connected for eternity... almost.  I wonder if they still keep in touch.   Just a terrible contract.  He's gonna make nearly 10M next year!!!  It's the Lotto that just keeps Lotto-ing!
